We encourage parent cooperation/involvement and expect our parents to attend conferences and participate in ongoing communication actively regarding your child. It is also important that we are notified of any unusual happenings at home or any significant changes in your child’s life/behavior. Some examples of this are illness, temporary absence of a parent, marital separation, death, and change of employment or moving. All of these things can be upsetting to our children and the center is better able to provide support and assistance if the teachers are kept well informed. Please do not hesitate to contact your teacher and/or director to discuss any questions or concerns you may have. You also have the opportunity to speak with the teachers during parent/teacher conferences.
We hold our parent/teacher conferences twice a year in the months of January and June and progress reports will be handed out at this time. Copies of these reports will be placed in your child’s file. We will work with the parents to schedule a convenient time. If a situation arises with your child that will require an immediate conference, please notify the teacher/director and one will be scheduled right away. Making it a priority for you to participate in these conferences will make the difference between understanding your child and where he/she is in their path of development.
Parents of children enrolled in the center are welcome anytime they choose to visit. We encourage visits whenever possible. For security reasons, parents who are not yet enrolled must make an appointment before visiting.
